Problems

Problems collects the faults that show up around a Volkswagen key coin. A fob that dies after a fresh cell, a warning that stays on, a button that locks but will not unlock, and a start spot that only works with the fob held against it are separate cases. A cover that will not close is usually the thicker coin. A rattle is usually the thinner one. Door handles that stay quiet while the buttons still work, on some 2022 and 2023 Atlas, Jetta, Taos, and Tiguan cars, are a motion sensor, not an empty well. Water, heat, and a swollen coin are separate pages because the fix is different. If the right coin is seated and the fob is still dead, stop. This category does not explain pairing.
